which is more important to you, getting married as a sign of your committment or not losing money?0

If she lives at home she'll be on IB and possibly DLA, neither of which are maens tested. This means that when you live together she won't lose any income.0

i have to agree that commitment should come first but if she is entitleted to these benefits living with her parents then im sure it would be the same if you lived together.it would be worth both of you finding out together you really dont want to be starting married life living seperately because of benefits.hope you work it out and good luck with the wedding:xmastree:Is loving life right now,yes I am a soppy fool who believes in the simple things in life :xmastree:0

I agree with other posters that if your GF is entitled to IB she will still get it even if you are married.
Remember you would still be classed as a couple if you are married, even if you don't actually live together, unless you were planning not to tell the benefits people (which i'm sure you wouldn't do)?
I was on Income Support (Myself and 5 kids), living rent free etc when my OH and soon to be hubby moved in with me and I lost all that. We had it tight for a few months until tax credits etc were sorted.
No amount of money would have made up for us not being able to live together.
Although we are slightly worse off financially than if we had stayed living separatelyHow does a brown cow give white milk, when it only eats green grass?0
