Argos - No Order Confirmation!

Yesterday afternoon at approximately 2pm (5th September) I placed an order via the Argos website for 2 sofas amounting to £400. After completing the order process I was shown a message which said something along the lines of:
"your order cannot be confirmed at the moment. Order confirmation may take a couple of hours during busy periods. Please do not resubmit your order".
It is now 10:55am the following day (6th September) and I still have no order confirmation or email proof that I even placed the order. I have just checked my online banking and it looks as if I have been charged. I did try 3 times to use the online email form to contact customer services but there was a fault and it wouldn't work.
I am extremely concerned about this. Has anybody else had this problem? What should I do?

I think that's normal with bulky items that require a specific delivery date.

Ring Argos Direct on 0845 640 2020, and they should be able to check to see if your order has gone through using your name/postcode.[DISCLAIMER: Any posts made by myself are my opinions and do not represent my employer]

the excact same thing happened to me, ordered a patio set, got the order cannot be confirmed message, hit the back browser as i thought id done something wrong, the enevitable happened, i got 2 pation sets arrive, and 2 lots of money taken lol... explained to argos it had said it had not been confirmed and was told there is sometimes a blip on the website, took me 2 weeks to get a refund tho!0
