When we bought our present house last year there were two rads off the CH system in the conservatory and it had gone through all the right channels as the previous owners had Anglian build it about 5 years ago, so building regs were involved. So I don't know where you get "permanent heating not allowed" from.

Why not have a huge walk in shower conservatory? You will definitely have a unique feature when you come to sell.;)

Easily done, just get the builders to leave the roof off and hope for a lot of rain.

    :D

On a more serious note, is planning permission required to add an extra bathroom in the house (not in the conservatory).

    Cheers.

No, you don't need planning permission to add an extra toilet into the existing house.

As for a loo in the conservatory, unless the conseravtory has been approved by building regs as a habitable room (ie. basically an extension) then I don't think you can do it. A regualr conservatory is exempt from building regs because it's separate to the house and considered more of an outbuilding.

As soon as you're attaching proper rooms to a conservatory it becomes an extension as far as they are concerned. You may not need planning permission but you will need building regs. It's likely to mean extra drainage anyway which building regs would definitely get involved with.

    Are you serious though?!
