Help!

Hiya...could someone offer my some advise?
I brought a flat through the shared ownership scheme a couple of years ago. I was told we had two parking spaces. A bay and another outside, were everyone else parked. Last year I had a baby girl and then a week later we all receievd a letter to say that the housing Associa had assigned a private company to manage the parking and double yellow lines were then painted on the private roads. None of the tennats had agreed to this or were happy. As a result we all had to find parking places away from the flat. The nearest place is approx 1/2 mile away. I wrote to the Housing company and the didnt reply. Directly behind our bay, we have no yellow lines and it doesnt block any access. There is enough space for a car to park. So we park our car there. As you could have guessed, we are getting parking tickets from the private company. I wrote to them explaining that I have a young baby and work full time and will not walk her back late at night. They have written back stating that the car is not in a bay and the fees stand.
I feell really angry and misld by the Housing Association, who seemed to have washed their hands of the situation. They have suggested that I park in the nearest NCP.
Is there anything that I CAN DO?
Stressed!

Yes - read all the other threads and Martin's article about Private Parking, and don't pay them a penny.

I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.
