Natural Liquid Soap wanted

I like to use natural (no SLS etc) liquid soaps for my children to wash their hands and it is so expensive to buy it online because of the postage. Does anyone know where I can get some on the high street?

I can't be certain as I can't find an ingredient listing anywhere other than stating "Natural Ingredients" but have a look at Pears handwash if you can find any.
It does claim to take care of delicate sensitive skin. hth

Try the 'Naked' range (http://www.nakedbodycare.co.uk/). It's available in larger branches of Boots and is regularly on offer.

I don't know of any soaps but this will save you money.

I use one of these. https://www.pamperedchef.co.uk/ordering/prod_details.tpc?prodId=1780&words=soap

You use just a fraction of soap and fill the rest up with water and it lasts absolutely ages. I know it's expensive at almost £8 but it'll pay for itself in no time. You can't use it with cream soaps though.

For my other sinks I bought Johnson's foam handwash for £1 http://www.westonsinternet.co.uk/images/joh856x.jpg and refill it using the pampered chef bottle as a guide. (You need the exact amount of soap and water or it won't foam).

I took a photo. Can you see the bottom line on the bottle? That's all the soap you put in - then just fill it up to the top line with water. It's lasts for absolutely ages. That white stuff is the foam that comes out. soap003.jpg

I must apologise shirlgirl I checked my pears shower gel & it does have SLS so the hand wash may have it too. Sorry if I led you on a wild goose chase. Hope you find something.

  • That's OK Violetta I searched online to see if I could find out and couldn't. It looks as though the Naked range is a good option though.

It really is...I have awful skin - very sensitve and reactive (having eczema doesn't help). I thought my days of using 'normal' shower gels and the like were long since behind me but since discovering the Naked range, I can shower like a normal person with nice, fragrant shower gel :D The rose one is just divine and very like the Ren product that costs about 5 times as much! I really can't recommend them highly enough.

I'm one of those people who tries something at someone elses house, buy it and it's just never as good!

I used some Seaweed Handwash (by Faith in Nature, who you could try) and loved it. I went out and bought some and none of the family liked it and I went off it too. Nothing special at all. TBH I have had better stuff from the 99p shops.

This isn't on the high street but to cut out postage why don't you buy in bulk?

I use Dr Bronners Castile Soap unfragranced no more tears for babies - cause I'm sensitive. I get a litre about roughly £10 including p+p and it lasts me all year doing my hair and making handwash.

I know you can get about 5litres for £30 which should do a family for a long time. Its pretty concentrated so only the smallest amount is needed to wash hair and augment the handwash with some water (1/3 soap to 2/3 water) and add your fav essential oils.

It seems like a lot of money to begin with but it will pay for itself in the long run. I don't even want to think how much I used to spend on shampoo in a year alone.

    Hope this helps.
