hi... i love jumble sales, but have noticed over the years. you dont get some many now, and the bargins and the moneysaving you can do by buying from them, plus you know the money is going to a certain cause.
plus i cant be the only one that used to like jumble sales....
i know car boot sales are great, but there was nothing like a good old fashioned jumble sale....

so i thought it might be a good idea, if anyone knows of a jumble sale that maybe they could put the details here

thanks.......happy bargin hunting........cooltrikerchick..................

I like a good jumble sale too, Cooltrikerchick!

The only thing I can suggest is that, if you are looking for kids clothes, books & toys, you go to your local Autumn Nearly New sale run by the NCT. I started a thread the other day, got a couple of thanks but no replies yet:

Just click on the link and put in your postcode to find your nearest sale. they are usually FAB for anyone with a baby or young kids, you can sell stuff next time too (you have to register as a seller usually, it's free and you don't have to be a member of the NCT, I never have been). If you sell anything they keep about 25% of your sale price (you have to securely price-ticket everything).

In fact, I am off to my local NCT sale tomorrow, it's not on the Website for some reason (Steyning in West sussex, 10am at the Steyning Centre, for anyone looking at this and local enough to pop along!).

Thanks again for the coupons you sent me recently BTW!

There's an NCT sale coming up in October (not sure of the exact date) on a Saturday in Bishop Gore School in Swansea. I was going to do some selling but according to the paperwork they don't take car seats, electrical goods, bouncers or soft toys, which doesn't leave me much else to sell. Well, clothes and a bumbo to be precise. So I may not bother now. But should be good for buying purposes.

And it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end
  • hi.. thanks what does nct stand for ?

i really do love a good jumble sale....school or club. fate ..bazzar type thing.....especially when its the older ladies that organize them... as its more likely that i can find old clothes that i collect....

National Childbirth Trust. I guess you can get the date from their website. For the sellers, 25% of what you make goes to the charity.

saw this today and thought of you.

I saw an advert for a jumble sale on the noticeboad in Morrisons today.

This Friday 29th September, 1-2.30pm, St Davids Church Morriston - i'm not sure where this is, it did say between HSBC and Lloyds, but i am not that familiar with Morriston.

It's in aid of Llys Nini - the RSPCA centre
