Pretty sure they were more known for enlarger lenses in the UK in Ye Goode Olde Dayes. They were used in some Kodak digital cameras with mixed results, although with digicams it's difficult to isolate lens and electronics problems (poor lens/great elecs gives similar results to great lens/poor elecs).
WB500 is aka HZ10W in US-land - review as part of a group test here http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/q209grouplongzoom/page6.asp0 -

damn, was just posting this link when I noticed you had! Yeh, this site is very well respected, great reviews. Generally over the top for most peoples needs though. It's gives it a pretty good rating for the price.
It's worth noting that often the major companies, (Sony, Samsung etc) buy the rights to have these fancy germany lens companies names for their lens but in actually fact the companies have had little to do with the actually lens. Unfortunately people are taken by the exotic germany name and the they now that perfectly well.0 -
Unless you want it immediately you can easily save £25 (possibly less post) on that price..
