Ebay returning of items

HI All wonder if someone can advice (I thought I put this on site before but can't find it  )

I'm relatively new to ebay (2 months) and sold something that I had never used, the buyer was happy with it but when he tried to register he couldn't register the item.

I tried helping but I couldn't find info for him either so offered him a refund, he asked for my address and I've given him that to sent it back, but that was 2+ weeks ago now and still nothing - had no correspondance even emails off him since then either.

Should I just take it he's keeping the item and try to sell it on himself, do I just give him feedback and leave as is or should I get in touch with ebay? I don't want him to give me a -ve feedback later on and say I wasn't helpful or something.

What sould I do in this situation?

Personally I would wait for more contact from the buyer. Whatever you do don't leave any feedback yet.

If he has sent it back he will no doubt be contacting you to find out if you have received it, if he doesn't contact you then maybe he changed his mind.

If you really want to be reassured then send him a polite email asking whether he has actually returned the item yet.

In the scenario that it has been returned but lost in the post it would no longer be your problem and his only recourse would be to claim back the loss from the RM.

Thanks for that. I just didn't know to contact him or just leave be. A friend of mine bought a jacket and sold it on (it was too small for her) so he could've done that I suppose.
