Video Ipod Help!!! Please!!!

I Have Recently Purchased A Video Ipod 60gb. I Was Told It Was Easy To Download Movies, T.v. Progs, And Home Movies Onto It. Unfortunately It Is Not Easy Enough For A A Man In His 40's.
Does Anyone Know If It Is Possible To Record T.v. Progs. On Dvd And Then Download Them To My Ipod?
I Have Purchased X.oom.com 'movies To Ipod', But It Does Not Seem To Work.
Can Anyone Tell Me How They Have Managed To Do This, Or What Software I Should Use.

May not help this time but I use https://www.ilounge.com for any Ipod issues I have. Very useful and has a lot of step by step tutorials.

Thanks for the advice, all 3 of you make good points. I am still having problems and am researching. Have managed to get audio, and first frame on ipod, but nothing further.
I find the problem great for my stress levels!!!??

Hi there! Unforunately, if you're recoring from TV to DVD, you'll have to record from TV --> DVD, then DVD --> computer, then computer --> iPod! It doesn't seem worth the hassle!

You could perhaps think about picking up a cheap TV Tuner card for your PC which would let you record TV shows directly to your computer, or you could plug in your video camera and record home made films onto it too. Then it's just a case of using the http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/iPod/ software (Free!) to convert those recordings into iPod files!
