Hi
You have to watch what router you use with the xbox360 as a lot of them have firewalls builtin that cause problems once you are playing games ( prevents you joining games and sometimes throws you our games ).
We have a 360 9 since lauch date ) and ditched our rubbish voyager router for a NETGEAR DG834G and no problems now.wireless.Very easy to set up ,as im not techincal,. I juststill use the cables to connect fromthe 360 to the router as you have to buy a 360 wireless adaptor that costs about £65 to play the xbox wireless. You can also connect up to three other systems so I use it for my laptop and main computer. Just plug it in and put the disc in and takes about 15 mins. We got ours from PC world from internet to collect in store as it was cheaper.0 -
If you want to use it wirelessly you'll need to buy the Wireless Adapter. It costs around £55-60, which is quite pricey. It is well built though and very easy to setup.
Other hardware won't currently work (ie if you have a random USB ethernet adapter lying around) as the 360 won't support them (is hardware locked I believe and won't have the drivers)."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0 -

So so I understand this right- if i get a NETGEAR DG834G I will alsi have to buy an xbox360 wireless adaptor for £60 or use the ethernet cable so it wont in effect be wireless?
Also will the NETGEAR DG834G be the router of choice to set up psp wireless.Nice to save.0 -
We got the wireless adaptor free with the Netgear router from Argos, not sure if the offer is still on. If you have not got the adaptor you have to plug the Xbox cable into the router.0

Yes this is correct.
I have a NETGEAR DG834G and have Xbox 360, PSP, Nintendo DS, laptop and Media Centre PC all running wirelessly without any problems.0 -
Because I already had my XBOX working wirelessly I used my wireless network bridge on the 360 instead of shelling out for the official wireless adapter.
It's a Netgear WGE111.
I think I prefer this method (even though it's not as 'neat'), as the bridge can be used for other PC's in my house (eg. when a guest comes to stay and I need wireless ability on their system). You can buy them for around £40 on amazon and several other places.
