Has anyone won "big" from premium bonds?

Options
I was wondering if anyone that has had money stoozed away in premium bonds has work any substantial amount of money?

I have had £8k stoozed in premium bonds for 7 months and won £100, have other people had better or worse returns than that?

Regards

Antony

It is a gamble, but the more you have in it, the closer you get to the implied interest rate

Whilst it is tax free, there are probably better places to put the stooz pot first

An offset mortgage would give a better tax free return

Yep, my partner has just won £100,000 with just a £6,000 holding.
He'd had them around 3 years and had won five £50's up until that point.
We've reinvested £24,000 and if we could put the lot back in we would.

To be honest I'm not 100% sure what stoozing is, I just searched Premium Bonds and this thread came up. The money we invested was some mortgage money we had left over. The fella was thinking about taking it out to get some work done on the house but I said no...thank God!

We bought £7K last September and have only won £50 :( however, friends of ours who both have the maximum allowed (£30K each I think) win between £50 and £150 every month.

We've just bought another £6K (again, courtesy of stoozing Abbey) so I'm still hopeful!

Well done on the £100K, now that would be a nice win.

Only prob is Little Munchkin, if your PBs are bought with stooze money, how do you meet minimum repayments, and what happens when your 0% with Abbey expires, if you cant get another 0% BT offer with someone else.
