TkMaxx - Missing price label

I bought a suitcase in TkMaxx today. There was no price tag on it that I could see so I took it to Customer Services and the guy there said it was £49.99. It was the only one of it's kind in the shop (I would have bought two if there had been more because I need two and I asked the guy when they were next expecting a delivery). My sister paid for it for my birthday.

When I got home, I was checking that all the zips and clasps worked and inside one of the small zipped pocket was a free padlock and a price tag for £39.99. the price tag had an item number on it but no product description.

I called TkMaxx and spoke to an assistant who said he would check with the guy who had served me and could I call them back? When I called back he said that the guy who had served me was adamant that there was a 'price indicator tag' on the case that meant it was £49.99. I asked if I gave them the item number on the price tag I had found inside the case they could tell me if that matched the case and was told that they did have that facility but it didn't work at weekends.

I'm taking the case and the receipt back on Monday so they can run it through the computer. If I'm right, I assume they will repay my sister the difference? I know I can just have a refund if I want one, but I rather like the bag.. (and I have removed the stickers from the outside)

Does TKMaxx offer a money-back guarantee on items that you don't like?

Yes, they have a 30 day 'love it or return it' policy, which is usually very good.

Thanks all. If it turns out that it is £49.99 I'll still be happy, but the thought that my sister has paid ten pounds more that she needed to means I will have to follow this through.

I did think about going to the next closest TkMaxx (about five miles away) and seeing if they had the case in stock. Perhaps if I'm bored tomorrow I will.
