EURO Cheque to Pounds

Hello
I got a cheque of EURO 2,000 over Christmas What is the best way to get this into my LTSB current account.Would it be better to get it lodged back in the Eurozone account and then get a Sterling draft sent.It is confusing as I dont want to be ripped off.
