I used to use Norton Ghost to restore to a previous IMAGE when I messed up my pc somehow. With the a of pc (second hand) I had Paragon on it and so continued to use it. However, whenever I tried to restore am image I had made with Paragon it did not work. So somehow I managed to make a mess of that too. Do not ask me how!! It just seems to come naturally to me !!! LOL !!!
So I thought I would ask you for your suggestions, please.
I did get on fine with Ghost, should I go back to that or do you have any better ideas? I would be grateful for your help.
I have windows xp home. I know they have their own restore but I am not entirely confident in that and would like something else either aswell or instead.
Thank you for your replies. Please ask if you need more information.
[ADDED 20/09/09 Many thanks to philnicandamy for your suggestion below. I have used this free version and it works great. Such a relief as I have already had to restore a few times.
I can thus HIGHLY RECOMMEND this.

Try Acronis True Image, ShadowProtect Desktop or Image for Windows (my preference in that order).0

Acronis TrueImage isn't free, but I find it well-worth the money. It's one of the few programs that I've actually paid money for as I couldn't find a free alternative. I'm still using old old version (v8), which does everything I need it to, so it might be worth seeing if you can pick up an old copy for a discount.0
