I don't know if you can. I think it was ruled illegal.
Streambox Ripper (v2.0 and below) used to have such functionality but they had to remove it. And it's a paid for product anyway."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0 -
DBPowerAmp can convert various real media audio formats, not sure what software you could use for converting video though0

I didn't think it was possible either but I've just managed to convert a RealMedia movie to a mpeg-II file using a freeware program called SUPER - download from here:
http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html
It's one of the most amazing programs I've ever used in terms of compatibility - it can open and convert pretty much any format of media file you can think of!
It is relatively easy to use once you know what you're doing but I did notice that the audio and video in my test became slightly unsynchronized during the conversion - it probably just needs a few tweaks of the parameters to get it right though...0 -
You could try this, never tried it myself..
SUPER © Simplified Universal Player Encoder & Renderer.
A GUI to ffmpeg, mencoder, mplayer, x264, mppenc,
ffmpeg2theora & the theora/vorbis RealProducer plugIn.
If you need a simple, yet very efficient tool to convert (encode) or play any Multimedia file,
without reading manuals or spending long hours training, then SUPER © is all you need.
It is a Multimedia Encoder and a Multimedia Player, easy-to-use with 1 simple click.

They have to make everything illegal now dont they. Why ban people from converting something they already own into a format that will let them watch it on a different media device. They're not pirating it and I dont see them breaking any other laws. Its been paid for or its free so there shouldn't be a problem.0 -
Thanks guys, will give Super a go i think!

I think in the case of Real Media files, it's something normally streamed. For example listening to a radio show. In the case of Streambox ripper it was to stop people downloading the .ra file, and encoding it as an mp3, which would be illegal."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0
