Keyboard Problems

I seemed to have a virus which appears to have been cleaned.
I now have a keyboard that will not type on the screen I have changed the keyboard and the new one is the same.
Can any one suggest anything else that I can do?

When switching the PC on, if it beeps a few times and then says 'Keyboard not found' press F1 to continue (oh the irony), then your keyboard port is knackered as opposed to the keyboard, but you probably would have noticed that.
Is this a USB or PS2 keyboard? (flattish connection or round connection)?0 -
is it a wireless keyboard?
does it work in safe mode (f8 at boot)Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0
