Hi
I have a Toshiba HDD that came with my HP laptop a while back. I want to connect this HDD to my new laptop without actually fitting it where the current HDD is.
It has 47 pins on the HDD.
Is there some sort of adaptor which will let me connect this to my laptop through a USB port?
Any suggestions/advice?
Thanks.

Maplin do one which comes as a plain cable for £20 here:

I've got one for misc laptop and PC repairs and find it very useful however, if it's just 1 disk you foresee doing then I'd get something like the one KeithP suggests and you can even use it as an external disk after you've retrieved everything from it.Space for rent, apply within - Free trial on Thanks button though0
