anyone ever done it or tried it?
I am thinking of buying a kitchen, worktop, appliances, taps, sink etc. there and wondered if there is any point trying to get a discount?
anyone ever done or tried it?
thanks

I've seen programmes on the Tv where these so called experts have gone into all sorts of places and sometimes it's paid off, but Ikea ! it's like Argos or Tesco.
Still if you have the bottle would be interesting to see the result, after all they all want sales.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

LOL! Sorry, I'd haggle anywhere but not Ikea.
If they are a company, part of a franchise or employing 'sales' staff then I'll haggle; but in Ikea? Not a chance. If you want a bargain, head for bargain corner, that's it.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

i got a few bits thrown in free - but that was through flirting rather than haggling ;-)People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine0 -
personally I always ask as you never know. I would be suprised to get any discount at somewhere like ikea but if you don;t ask you dont get!!sealed pot challange #572!Garden fund - £0!!:D£0/£10k0

ok, I'll have a go, I may go the "will you throw X in if I buy A, B, C and D" route rather than just asking for a reduction
I'll post my results here.0 -
I think they have a fixed discount they give as they have the bargain basement where the stuff is reduced and some of the stuff in there is overpriced considering the state of it.
However I would ask anyway, you never know.0 -
Ikea were offering 10% off when spending over £2000, and interest free credit. I doubt there'd be much more movement beyond that - certainly not to the level of selectively throwing in items. Its just not really the Ikea "way".0
