ebay cross promotions with other sellers ?

New to me but I got a mesage request -

has requested a cross-promotion connection with you. If you accept, ****** will cross-promote your items, and in turn you will cross-promote ******s items. Both you and ****** will get more exposure to buyers.

To accept this request:

1. Go to My eBay and click the "Cross-Promotion Connections" link in the left-hand navigation, or click the Accept Request button above.

Personally cant see the benfits of having a stranger, possable competitor, cross promoting my items ( especailly since they can edit the cross promotions and take mine out ) and me advertising there's.

Didnt know such a thing existed on ebay- anyone else do it - or would you ? Maybe it works

No it was through ebay messages .If you go to the left handside of your ebay page beside seller account etc it sau=ys " cross promotions" .

Cross-Promotion Connections
You can arrange with other sellers to cross-promote each others' items for maximum exposure. These arrangements are called "cross-promotion connections".
How a connection works

1. You request a connection with a seller you know and trust. Or you receive a request from another seller, which you can accept or decline. If the request is accepted an active connection is formed.
2. When a buyer bids on or wins an item belonging to you or the other seller, both your items and the other seller's items will be promoted to the buyer.

Note: Other sellers' items will be displayed separately from yours.
Arranging and managing connections Use the Cross-Promotion Connections page to perform all your cross-promotion activities with other sellers:

• Request a connection with another seller.
• Accept or decline a request from another seller.
• End an active connection.
• Change your preferences: You can control which items from other sellers are promoted, or turn off the ability to make cross-promotion connections entirely.

You can have up to 10(active and pending) connections at one time. Cancel or decline pending connections if you don't want them to count against your limit.
