Help with looking for winter coat!

My Mum and Grandma always told me it was well worth investing in a great quality coat that will look chic, keep you cosy and last for years. Unless you're minted don't have anything too high fashion or you'll only get one season of wear out of it. The trouble is that I go off things so quickly and would much prefer to spend my precious cash wintering in sunnier climes!

My solution is trawling charity shops, jumble sales (or surfing the vintage section of eBay) for several great quality vintage pieces - my wardrobe includes an Astraka faux leopard jacket, a Wetherall of Bond Street purple wool military style cape and a fitted mustard, lime and purple double breasted overcoat made by Finlandia Models. All three cost came in at less than a tenner and I can afford to change my look and get them dry cleaned without bankrupting myself.

I agree, I trawl ebay and charity shops, and as a result have many winter coats, in many different colours and styles. I have a variety of different fur (some faux), and wool coats in array of lengths and styles, and one of almost any colour.
Primark is great too, you often get some of the coats in the sale when the new styles come out.

Have you checked River Island or New Look? They have some nice coats :j
