we got our fridge freezer from currys 3 years ago. in the past year all of the shelves in the fridge have fallen out due to the plastic that held them in breaking for no reason [and not due to overloading. our fridge is usually quite empty]. mr mob did a repair job with some door bars.
now the bit inside the door that holds the milk is falling to bits, again not overloaded.
would we have right to complain? we have had nowt but trouble with the fridge freezer during the first year, it took 3 engineers to discover a block of ice was causing the freezer to not work [was caught in the piping so not obvious to us] and our washer dryer, again from currys has caused nowt but grief in the 3 years we have had that.
any tips if we do have right and cause to complain?

I don't know how much luck you will have - you can claim for repair or replacement for up to 6 years from purchase under the sale of goods act, but after 6 months you must prove the fault was inherent and not caused by you using the item incorrectly.
If you think you'll be able to do this, either email customerservices@dsgiplc.com or write to

You could also phone, but it's much easier to have things in writingSquirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
