BT line rental 200%+ price increase

I have a incoming calls only line with BT that i only use for internet concection use, last bill £10.73 for 3months.
Got letter through of BT basically saying that they are withdrawing this service and putting me onto a new tarrif<BT basic> which will cost ...Get this £11.50 a month ...Like £34.50 a quarter:mad:.. unless that is im on certain state benifits which im not.
Phoned BT and they said thats it no other options:mad::mad:.
Anyone any ideas ?
Im currenty using plusnet as mt internet provider who im quite happy with<even though BT own them>...
