Depends on whether the existing title to the property is registered or not and whether or not seller has a mortgage that has to be discharged - typically for a registered title it would be 2-6 weeks. Most of this time is caused by solicitors waiting for documents to come through before submitting application for registration.RICHARD WEBSTER
