  • Thank you Richard for your insight.

    Im keeping my fingers crossed.

Both the estate agent and their solicitors are chasing the buyer to arrange the deposit amount to be provided.

Hope to hear something Monday !
  • Well Mondays nearly here !

    Fingers crossed.

I'll keep the thread updated on the eventual outcome.
  • Update :

Both my esate agent and their solicitor are unable to speak to this buyer.
Voice messages left but not returned.
    Both have written to them.

Completion was requested by the buyer for this friday.... hmmm dont think thats going to happen now.

Now the buyer has always been hard to contact due to his work patterns etc but he's had over a week to reply and pay the deposit.

Estate agent says he will call me tomorrow with an update.

Question is if Friday comes and goes with no response from him am I able to re market the property without any charges to me as ive not broken the agreed dates.

How long should I give this buyer ?

    Hi,

If you have exchanged contracts then there is nothing you can do - just wait. Sorry! Iif you havent exchanged contracts then you can maybe give the buyer an ultimation that you must exchange/complete by a certain date - however be prepared for him to ignore you and you lose the property plus any expenditure you have already paid.

so nothing has changed since RichardWebster last posted.
