I think this is an excellent idea. I would go ahead with this.

The first reason for this is, I just hate estate agents...
Second reason is I don't like to pay someone for just talking...

I, my self, am developer and would love to do something like this and I am a FTB looking for properties now.

    Cheers for the great idea.

    You're a developer (who has already developed property(s)) AND you're a First-Time-Buyer ...???

If you're unwilling to pay an EA for 'just talking' then what would you be prepared to pay for?

If netmovers is 'commission-free', then what's the £199 charge for selling a residential property? A gratuity?
  • the main problem is that all EA advertise on Rightmove and so most of the houses for sale in England are listed there. You can only get on RM if you are selling through an EA!!

We are selling through Housenetwork, you pay a couple of hundred quid for them to do the pics, flooplan etc and you get on RM, plus your own website for your house.

if we sell, we pay them another £500!

While i admire your idea (all the big names started somewhere) in my experience your biggest problem will be getting putters. I have a website selling a certain product in the housing game and have sold 1 in the last 12 months. All i can say is try it, you never know.
