Ok so i've been contacted by a division of the company and i've asked about the agreement told them im not happy with what i was verbally qouted on and what is within my contract information.

The company involved is going to give me a callback later today, im not holding much hope of getting out of it with them but do i have any grounds to stand on where i might have a window of oppurtunity elsewhere?

By the way for all you petrolheads that are trying to guess the model in vain, its a vauxhall astra tdci, happy now?

I really do hope there is a way out for you.

Diesel astras up to 3 years old going for under £4000 on autotrader, and one year old cars not much over £6000 :(
You would have been far better off getting a credit card with a 25% APR and pay for it on that.

On the three extras that i have purchased, (Roadside assistance, Mechanical breakdown cover, GAP insurance) it states that on recieving the documentation i have 14days to cancel the agreement. Considering i've been sold this at a much higher rate than would be if i found it myself this is something im wanting to do.

Once i've recieved the documentation, and i write to inform these companies of my intention to cancel, do i need to also contact the finance housing and make them aware so they will reduce my payments, or will this be adjusted once recorded with the companies involved?

    Thanks

Im looking (i think) at a HP agreement, as it states a voluntary termination after half the term has expired but within the terms i have not initialed this part to confirm it was explained to me (as they didnt do so) But im thinking i do have a HP agreement??

thanks for the help guys im just going to get a reduction on payments by cancelling parts of the policy and purchasing them elsewhere if need be. Such as the guard x treatment, waste of time that is!

I thought you had 14 days to cancel any financial product without penalty, so you should be able to pull out of the loan as well.

No i dont think so. As others have put, if it was signed on their premises then you have no comeback, but i'd seek legal advice if i were you.

Well i've got my payments down by £80 p/m which im pleased with as i feel i can find the cover they offered at a cheaper price. Does anyone know where i can find GAP cover and advise which type if any i should choose?

Also the service history is pretty good, its due a service soon which im going to take care of, my partner has GAP cover on her car which covers parts and labour if the car should encounter a fault. where can i find something similar?

Also im in the process of getting the APR% down by having a co-signer with (my mother) who stands good in credit worthiness so hopefully that will go through.
