First Choice 2010 booking - deposit question?

Has anyone booked their 2010 holiday yet with First Choice?
When we booked ours we had to pay an initial deposit and then 8 weeks later the second deposit of £55 each would then also be due – I have received no more information about this since we received the initial email confirmation….I would expect a reminder or pleasant letter as they do with final balances becoming due but nada and I did wonder whether they would automatically take the money from the same card but nope. The 2nd deposit was due last week and I don’t know whether I should wait to hear from them or waste my time and money at 10p per min waiting on the phone for days on end.
Any thoughts from anyone?

Normally you dont get a letter about the rest of the deposit due but i would imagine if you are late then you will get 1 saying pay asap or the hol will be canx and you will still have to pay the rest of the deposit. I suppose you dont get a reminder for the deposit because of the cost and its probably only a couple of months since you booked it so wouldnt really need reminding whereas when you pay your final balance it could have been over a year since you booked it. If you know its due why dont you just pay it?0

Hi,
they never contacted us to say payment was due. I made a note of the date and telephoned to pay. They then sent a receipt. HTH0 -
hi. we booked for next year with a low deposit. it says on our booking invoice when the balance of the deposit is due, and when the final payment is due0
