I always told them that I had just bought a holiday and was going to be away on said holiday for a couple of months.
They stopped phoning after a while.

If its Timeshare sold in the UK it is regulated to some extent. However the majority of these companies are classing themselves as 'Holiday Clubs' and are therefore not regulated.
The freebies offered are given instead of paying for advertising (in theory). The problems start is trying to claim the freebie when you have declined what they're selling. All of a sudden the company is 'difficult' to get hold of.
The other catch- as with all Holiday Clubs is that you get whats offered at the wonderful price but is the membership fee for a year or so. Effectively what you're paying for is a years membership but have to settle for the destinations available at the companies convienience (not yours) and make your own way there. Yes you have to pay for your flights. You should be able to sell you membership after the first year.
So in the end you may as well book a last minute cheapy unless you have the time to take a number of unseasonal holidays per year.
Hope this helps.:idea:I got an idea, an idea so smart my head would explode if I even began to know what I was talking about:idea:0 -
