DVD-R or DVD+R

  • When I last weighed up the options, DVD-R was a bit cheaper, but DVD+R had a higher maximum write speed.
  • I haven't used DVD+R, All of the devices I have can only read DVD-R. I think its more common.

I am sure that most devices can READ either but some can only WRITE to -R or +R

I think there's little to choose between them these days. I tend to go for DVD+R, but only because my (fairly ancient) DVD writer has a higher write speed for +R than -R.
