Laptop screen mists up

Hi i have aquired a medion laptop and it works great apart from the screen. Now and then the screen will go white as though it mists up, it starts from the edges and goes inwards towards the centre, but then if i move the screen it will flicker and come back to normal?
Any ideas? i dont think there is anything wrong with the screen itself as when its working its fine, just seems strange that it mists up.
