We are with NPOWER on their paperless online 10 tarif for gas & electric...i`ve tried to work out if it`s worth changing but it`s so difficult to work it out...I know it was a competitive rate 12+ months ago....we pay around £132 gas and electric monthly on a plan ( owe about £350 electric ) Any suggestions ???

If you can let us know the prices from the bills that they are charging you per unit for gas and elecy and standing charge if they are applicable. Also would need actual annual consumption. The best way to do this is go online and find a bill from about 12 months ago can be longer than 12 with an actual reading on it not estimated. Then let is know the reading on the meters as it is today and the annual consumption can be calculated.
For me the new elecy rate from nPower was cheaper but the gas rate was not. Thier new gas rate seems to be cheaper for low consumers but dearer for higher consumers so I did not change the gas but I did change the elecy to the new npower tariff.0 -

I have been on SoL 10 paperless for a while now and check frequently if it is still competitive. It has always been the cheapest for me until recently. Now there are 2 companies that beat it for my area (east mids), EDF and Eon, but they would only save me £21 and £5 per year, so SoL10 is still fairly good.
It has always beaten any other Npower tariff. One thing to note is that when Npower reduced their prices earlier this year they did not reduce my SoL10 at all, neither gas or electric, maybe that is why it is beaten by a small amount now.0
