We had our 3 bed end terrace house re-tiled in September 2004. It cost £2100 and that included tiles, new underfelt and double battens on top of felt. I found my "roofer" by knocking on a few doors in nearby streets that had new roofs and asked who did it, rough idea of price, whether the workers were polite and tidied up after themselves and reliable. :)

    Blimey that was cheap!!

Do you know how many tiles you need? or how many square meters of roof you have?

Not sure but when the rain stops, I'll go outside and count the number of rows and number of tiles in each row. :D

It probably makes a big difference on where in the country you live, as these kind of things often seem to.

Last year my neighbour had a new roof on her 3 bed terrace house & paid over £3000. This is in London. It would have cost double that had she wanted tiles that matched the original, rather than the new modern type that is used more often now.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.
