Hi all
Has anyone else had problems switching online today?
There does seem to be a switch option - the quote & switch button doesn't work!

I could switch over the phone, but I want my £62 cashback!!

  • Sorry guys.

    There are technical issues with the website at the moment.

    Technicians are working to resolve these but they can't give me a time frame at the moment.

    Will advise further once I have more info.

    Can you get cashback by switching between Eon tariffs or are you switching suppliers?

    We notice from our records that you accessed your energy account via eonenergy.com on the afternoon of Thursday 3 September.

    During this period we experienced a technical issue where some customers saw incorrect information. For a brief period of time a number of customers who logged into our site were able to view a different customer's account details. Unfortunately this means that your online account may have been viewed by another customer by mistake.

    We would like to apologise to you about this and assure you that, as soon as we became aware of the issue, we disabled that part of the website. However, we understand that you would be concerned about this and would like to let you know what information may have been seen, these were:

    Details of your previous bills;

    Meter readings;

    Payment amounts; and

    Email address


    However, we can reassure you that no one would be able to see full details of your bank account or credit/debit card(s) that you have used to pay us in the past. We can also confirm that there has been no unauthorised action on your energy account or changes to your energy account details.

    We'd like to reassure you that we take data security very seriously. We have taken the necessary steps to ensure that such an incident will not happen again.

    If you'd like to view your account now you can do so by logging in at .. and if you have any questions or concerns, please call us free on 0800 479 5432 (open 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 6pm on Saturday).

    In the meantime we apologise for any inconvenience or worry caused.
