Well I know this nice lass down the docks and.... wait a minute. That was a typo. Lawyer. Although the layer might be more fun :P0

From the FSA - Money Made Clear website:
If you want to stop a continuous payment authority at any time, you must contact the business that has your authority. It is best to do this in writing, and to keep a copy in case they dispute this later. You should also write to your credit card company to tell them that you have cancelled the authority.
Hope this helps.0 -
Well I have my final response from LloydsTSB. It is basically put, tough luck, stop bothering us.
Anyone know what sort of lawyer I need to speak to? or even a good lawyer I can speak with?0 -
It's not Lloyds problem, you entered in to the agreement yourself without realising it (Yes I appreciate it's sneaky tactics)
Your complaint is with Vista print and not lloyds.0 -
Its club prem I am going to use the lawyer on. Although as pointed out previously, the money is Lloyds, so they are going to be involved anyway.
The card services department of Lloyds has got to be the worst customer services I have ever met. Very offhand, they present a uniformed face of not giving a damn and don't seem to want to talk to me, or assist me at all.0 -

I had no probs cancelling the subscription with them that was set up just like your case, shame your having so many problems with them.
With regards to lloyds, the staff there will have seen this all before and you won't be the only one and certainly won't be the last.0 -
Other people seem to have no problems cancelling and getting a refund, companies just seem to like screwing me around.
As for LloydsTSB I have always been very happy with the service I have received. Every member of staff in the branches and on the help lines were and are very nice. Knowledgeable, friendly, and willing to help. Even though they have probably heard it all before. Even when I had problems with payments being taken from my main account. It was dealt with quickly and easily. They even tried to help me get through to the muppets in card services. I can strongly recommend giving Lloyds card services a very wide berth, and would recommend them for anything else.0 -
All information given by card services is read from a computer database. If you dont fit certain criteria they wont even know how to help you. The whole place is sales orientated, they don't give a damn about customer services!
All agents have to sell at least 5 products a day, no one cares about customers lol!
Wonder how many times you have been offered Privacy Guard!??! lol
You need to contact the company, in writing, and inform them that any further funds taken will be seen to be theft, and you will follow the law accordingly.0 -
Not really interested in links to links. I'm interested in whether adults are agreeing to things and then changing their minds when they realised they've been stupid and trying to blame anyone apart from themselves.
MSE seems to be bursting at the seams with people who want to blame other people for their stupidity or ignorance. If VistaPrint are taking the money without authority then they will have to give it back.
Like I said, I've never heard of this service and this "problem" is probably down to people's greed or ignorance.
Frankly you seem to have made your mind up already. Talking of ignorance, as you started it, the idea that "I haven't heard of a problem or if there is one it doesn't affect me, therefore there isn't a problem" which is what you effectively say in your final paragraph, is er, how can I put this... profoundly ignorant.
However I'm willing to say two things (and no, haven't been caught out by them myself before you ask).
1. Yes people do need to read what they're signing up to more closely in general and take more responsibility for their own actions. At least 30% of the "problems" on this site could be solved before they happened if people did that.
2. However, a small amount of research will show you that people have been problems with VistaPrint "partners" pulling very shady tricks to sign people up for quite a long time now without making it clear what you were signing up to. No smoke without fire - and there's been a lot of smoke around this issue on lots of forums besides this one.If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0 -
Hi - I had exactly the same experience last year. I had bought from Vistaprint many times with no problems. Then after the last time I noticed a recurring charge on my credit card statement for a company called Premclub. Not only was this a different name but also the amount changed between 3 differing amounts from £9.95 to £12.95.
When I noticed that there were a number of these charges I investigated and discovered that I was apparently signed up to Premclub from the Vistaprint site as I had supposedly not unchecked a box that had appeared somewhere in the lenglthy payment and other offers section.
I spent hours on the telephone, writing letters and emails to try and get the money reimbursed. My credit card company also helped and in fact reimbursed half of the money as a good will gesture themselves. I never got any joy and could not get hold of the same person twice (were they making the names up??). Whenever I asked to speak to management they were ALL in a meeting and would call me back - they never did.
I have now given up as I just don't have the time to continue to chase my money but I think the best action for all those who feel they have been treated unjustly is to spread the word as widely as possible, so that others do not fall into this trap and make Premclub/Vistaprint yet more profit!!
I do however have to commend the actions of my credit card company - they said that they have many complaints about Vistaprint, premclub and another company name which I can't remember (they are all the same company) but they are unable to do anything about it due to the way that people are actually being conned into signing up for the valueless service.
If no one bought anything from Vistaprint they would stop trading so let's hope!0
