Bufger - good luck with the house - hope it all goes well.
Ddraig - Seems daft to start them back at the end of a week doesn't it? Just count down the mintues to Monday
Lost2 - Still quiet here - mainly as mine don't tend to surface much before midday
Had a decent nights sleep for a change - DH was zombied on diazepam so although he was still having bed shaking muscle spasms, he actually slept through them.
Need to chase the builders/letting agents up today - I've still got no utility room floor, no washing machine, kitchen units in the dinning room and half the kitchen in the living room...not really ideal.
Think today might be a day for getting pro-active with everyone who's been mucking us about.....heads will roll :rotfl:"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Yeah. Thank goodness it's Friday. This has been a pretty carp week in df land. Bank holiday weekend was good catching up with family then found out on Tuesday landlord is selling house and we will be given our 2 months notice. Added to not having a job (still) and being signed off by the doctor, and having to start counselling soon - it's just all a bit much.
Off to job centre this morning and then I have to arrange a flat to view - it's just so expensive and we are unlikely to get a garden (that's line drying out) and a lot are unfurnished (that's furniture to buy then) - looks like we'll be in a worse area, paying 50 a month extra (at least) plus all the furniture costs and the credit checks, inventory checks etc.
Anyone got this weekends winning lottery ticket? :rotfl:

Morning all.
Good luck Bufger!
DF, that's pants about your landlord selling up. Maybe it's time to start looking at freecycle? Do you know anyone with a garage you can store things in till you move?
Does anyone know how to stop a washing machine making clothes smelly? Loads often come out smelling horrible, it's like a mouldy cheese/sick kind of smell, so they need to be washed again. I've checked the powder tray and that's clean, so I don't know what else it could be.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -

Have you got any other filters you can take out and clean (sometimes there's one at the front for catching fluffy bits)? I would try running the machine empty on the hottest temperature with some vinegar in (where you would put the washing powder and fabric conditioner) - that can help to clear it out. If that doesn't work then you might need someone to pull it out and see if there's a blockage or gungy stuff in the pipes!
Oh - good morning all and good luck Bufger!

Thanks everyone, i'll keep you posted.
DF, sorry to hear its all happening at a bad time for you. 2 months can be a long time to get stuff sorted in though, you could have a new job and somewhere to live sorted by then so keep your chin up!
Lucifa, good luck with the job. I had a similar thing when i started my job - when looking at my status it said i had been accepted but when ringing them up they said they may not have enough positions! they eventually sorted it out 2 weeks later.MFW - <£90kAll other debts cleared thanks to the knowledge gained from this wonderful website and its users!0 -
