    How do I check the drains? I hope it's not a hard job, I can't afford a plumber and if anything goes wrong with the plumbing I've got to pay for it.

    Ames - another thing you can try is putting your machine on the hottest wash and using soda crystals (about 75p a bag from Tesco). Use them as you would washing powder, it worked for me!
