Urgent Advice - Pricing Error on Reputable Website

I've discovered a pricing error on a reputable website.

I can book 2 weeks for a family of four staying in a self catering apartment for 2 weeks in October for £432 in total.

Now the dilemma!

Do I go ahead and book it? What is the likelihood of being asked to pay the correct amount?

Can I cancel it after booking if they do not honour the price?

regards

    Book it!
If thats the price that is quoted, they should honour it.
If they request more, you have a right to cancel it.
BTW, where is it to, web address??

It's to Cyprus. I've tried the week before it and the price is normal. It is only on this specific date that we were look to travel on that it has come up with this price.

PS Do you think I should try to book it over the phone or would this alert them to the error?

You are making an offer but they have the right to refuse to accept it. If they say it is an error they will come back to you with the correct price and ask if you want to go ahead. If they accept the payment I don't think they can come back later and ask for more. I agree have a go at booking it!

    Book it before it's corrected

Agree! Phoning them might alert them, so I'd do it online.

This reminds me of when BA priced their flights to Hong Kong for £136 a while back, and MSE's pounced and got it!

    Hi,

Out of interest which property/web-site was it? I know a lot of then (80%+) have a 'get-out' clause on there being an error-even if payment is taken. Have you booked flights yet?

    Hi Travelman

    It's on the https://www.libraholidays.co.uk website

Flying from Manchester to Paphos on 18 October 2006 for 2 weeks staying in the Apollo Hill Htl Apts.

It would not allow me to book the holiday.

I was tempted to ring and try to book

gobbyash - if you can't book online, why not try the phone and see if you can get it at the (excellent) price displayed earlier? Is there anything to lose?
