I've just bought an Akebia Quinata from the clearance section of my local garden centre for a fiver as i couldn't resist the low price, but it'll have to go into a 12" pot to go up a trellis as i don't have room in my small flower bed. will it succeed in this pot as i know it'll be quite a vigorous grower and so i'll be hoping to keep it in check. are the flowers that chocolate-y in scent and distinctive in appearance? they look pretty in photos i've seen of them, but will it be worth it tho'? i'm also wondering if it'll be useful for any wildlife ie., bees or hoverflies?
thanks in advance
ps. there were other bargains in the garden centre ie clematis varieties and cammelia for £3 (normally £10+) . i was gutted when i realised this as i could of gone a few weeks ago when their sale started. maybe there will similar sales in your area ppl?!!
thanks in advance

As long as you keep them watered well, it should be fine in the pot, but will probably need repotting every few years. My Mind wanders, if found please return.0

well, thanks for your advice ppl. i've found out that it'll be better in the ground as it's quite vigorous, so it'll do best where there'll be space to flourish.0
