Monopoly leads to unreasonable overpricing

Both of my Renault key cards have developed faults and I can only get new ones from Renault at over £80 a time. Many brand name products seem to take advantage of customers in this way; why isn't it illegal to set unreasonable prices and what can we do about it?

£80......bargain. We only got 1 key with our car and when we asked peugeot how much for a second key we were told £120! Had all the excuses about the key having to be specially programmed etc....

It may be worth having a look in the yellow pages for renault non approved garages - where I live there is a company called Ren-o-tec and although they are not renault approved they can do most things as they have the proper equipment - they have to connect the car up to a special computer to recode keys, reset airbags etc and non approved garages will charge a hell of a lot less to do it.
