When is October holidays in England?
It's just that I'm planning a trip to Alton Towers/Stoke on Trent for a few days in the Oct holidays, probally 2/3 nights around 16th - 22nd Oct and not sure if we should go weekend or midweek, if we went midweek, hopefully, if it wasn't school holidays, there wouldn't be so many q's at Alton Towers, but Waterworld, etc seem to be closed, or are we safer to go over weekend and everything being opened but risk Alton Towers being busy. Never been before so want to make the most of our time there.
Just wanting your advise please and any other tips you might have about visiting area.

Midweek will be much quieter. You can easily while away 2 full days at the towers.
Bear in mind that Scarefest runs from the 17th of Oct- it would be quieter beforehand, as the opening weekend will be busy. HTH.Only dead fish go with the flow...0 -

I'm sure if you go at the w/end in October it'll still be quiet. Attendance at Alton towers is never as high in October compared to July/Aug.0 -
