Insurance for a pick up that is not be used as a commercial vehicle?? Any Ideas

I am looking to buy a pickup truck soon but I am only going to use it as a car and not as a commercial vehicle.

I have tried to do a seach on the moneysupermarket for car insurance and there is not an option for the vehicle i want (Mitsubishi L200). I can only get a quote through a commercial vehicle company which when i apply i am asked when i set my company up and what type of goods i will carry.

I am only going to use it as a private car. Does anyone know where i can get a good cheap quote for this type of vehicle?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Hello there

You still need a commercial vehicle policy, as whether or not you use it for business, the vehicle is a commercial vehicle.

you just need to make sure that the use is listed as private, social, domestic and commuting.

Try https://www.evaninsurance as they are usually cheap and cater for double cab pickups which I assume yours is,

Alternatively google for A plan and double cab pickup as they give good deals for them.
