Is it weird I find this thread not so weird?

I was thinking that too....seemed quite normal to me until someone said it was surreal. Is this thread strange?

Surreal is the starlings down here. Yeserday they totally covered my house and next door, the sound was deafening.
Like a moving carpet of 1000's of birds all over the roof, chimneys, every bit of house was totally covered in chattering birds

Surreal was being asked to prove my age when buying an age 15 DVD in Morrisons tonight!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

He backed down when I laughed at him, in fact laughed so hard I was almost on the floor in tears....I was still laughing 2 hours later.

Told him he made my day, last time I had been asked to prove my age was 23 years ago!

I did ask him if he seriously thought I was under 15, with 2 kids (the ones with me at the time), car keys, wrinkles and the odd stray grey hair!

Ah, this is where your going wrong the liquid on the florr when mature women laugh hard is less lkely to be tears as they get older. Next time, that might speed up the queue:rotfl:

I bet in your head he replied: "No, but you're so hot I thought it was worth a punt"
    :)

Or is it just me that thinks like that with these pretty boy checkout lads?

I'm still waiting to be challenged for fraud when using my B&Q Diamond Card, but it never happens. They didn't even ask me for proof of age when I applied for it.....:(

I assume this is what they give old gits ... so checkout staff are warned they're dealing with cantankerous old "I fought in the war you know" types :P
