Morning all! How is everyone today? Well in to week 7 of not smoking. The e-cigarette does it for me!

Thought I might just pop up a " normal " chatty sort of post for a change.

To follow in a similar manner to Pobby, I am feeling so much more relaxed now my latest assignment has been submitted...although stress over school uniform is doing my head in, just why do they have to have so many different bits compared to primary school and why can it only be purchased at one shop which charges the blooming earth!

On and why does the school have to change their uniform so instead of being able to re-use things that we perfectly fine for last term and were pretty new, you have to buy a whole new one....

    Grrrrrr!!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Congratulations Pobby! That is great news. How many did you smoke per day before you found the e-cigarette?

Oh about 30 roll ups of Spanish baccy. In fact I didn`t want to quit. It was the fact I was getting short of breath and coughing a lot that this was an attempt to cut it in half.

Went from that to about 8 a day, then 3 or 4, then one first thing and one after dinner to none. Tbh, regardless of health issues I much prefer vaping instead of smoking.

Sue, when I was at school, and you know what it`s like with growing kids, some parents would donate school blazers and the like to the school to be given away to younger kids. Is it worth asking?

Oh and what about free cycle? One of my mates is a mod there, I will ask him and pm you over the course of the week.

Normally that would work Pobby but they have just changed all the uniform, effective this term and so no second hand items available.

Oh and everything is blooming crested too so can't even get the cheapie versions from the local supermarket either!

Edit - Did get a clothing grant for both boys due to the change of uniform and youngest going up to High School (eldest goes to a different school where the uniform has stayed the same so no big worry there), which was an amazing £15 per child...which paid for a pair of shorts for P.E each.

Had to borrow some money from my parents to get youngest's blazer and their ties as there was just not enough in my budget to pay for their lovely posh uniform! So much easier last year with the only crested item being the rugby top, this year it is virtually everything including socks!

That`s shocking. £15 for a pair of shorts!

Exactly.....but it does have a crest you know (as the person in the shop said to me when I was still lying on the floor in shock)

That's truly shocking - and totally discriminatory!

Are the school aware that they are breaking every guideline in the book on this? It would be hard for any parent to afford that lot in 1 go, let alone 1 with 3 kids, and a single parent.

Ridiculous. I'll do a  on your behalf.

    :)
