AGP Graphics Card

First of all, apologies if I don't reply immediately.

I'm looking for suggestions for an AGP 4x card, that's 1.5v I believe.

The above is from the motherboard manual.

Yup I know it's old.

I've been looking on ebay, but am totally confused, not all listings state what type of AGP a card actually is, and I'm not up on graphics cards.

A few names/models to look out for would be ideal.

It will be used by someone for their business records, so no gaming or any need for high quality graphics.

TIA R

any agp graphics card would do, nvidia chipset would probably be better, doesnt matter about the speed 4 or 8x as they are backwards compatible, if it says 8x it will just run at half the speed. i would suggest a FX5500 or FX5200 with 256mb as these are probably the lowest specs you can get now for a AGP card.
link for 2 new cards, personally i would go for the £33.35, but the cheaper one at £23.23 would be ok aswell.

As andy2004 says, but if you want cheaper you could go for the Inno3d Nvidia FX5200 AGP card that Ebuyer sells for around £18.

Thanks guys, that's all I needed, a couple of suggestions, all the different models/speeds/memory had left me totally confused.

I didn't realise that they were backwards compatible, that's great info, and makes searching easier.

Ebay will probably be the first call, as I said the PC will only be use about 2x week for printing off the odd invoice for a one man decorating business.

    Thanks again R

The various revisions of AGP slot/data rate/voltage can be a bit of a minefield at times. If you want to be absolutely sure, have a wade through this lot....

    What's the motherboard make/model?

If you go for a second hand one I'd avoid ones with fans if you can as they can sometimes become quite noisy or fail completely with age. There should be plenty of low end ones without fans.
