Comet Online prices

This is just a quick question but is it possible to take a print out of an item online to the store to get the online price of that item?
I'm thinking no, but know of ther stores that do this.

Thank you

Worth a try. If you don't ask, you don't get.

Another trick that works, depending on how brazen you are, is to sign up for the 5 year extended warranty and negotiate free delivery or a reduction in the price of the item. Then return withing the first month and cancel the warranty :) We saved £20 off a new washing machine doing that ;)

Ask them to do a price match or you'll go elsewhere. They don't like to miss a sale.
You can always get more with a kind word and a 2-by-4 than with just a kind word.

If you have a local empire direct try them.

I ALWAYS find the cheapest price online and print it out, take it to empire and ask them to beat it.

I've done this for a ally microwave - beat the price by £1.00 (should of been about £60 and I got it for £44)

Sony Wega Widescreen TV (didnt beat the price but matched a online price I took in - saved delivery costs :D )

Dyson vacume cleaner (matched the price again)

Worth a try if they have what you are looking for.....and u have a local store.

sorry if I misled you there - actually I thought you were comparing Comet in-store price with their own internet site.

Always worth a go challenging them with other retailers' better prices. I know John Lewis won't do it, supposedly because they offer 3 yr warranty included in the price but that's their problem.

PC world allow you to buy it on line at the cheaper price, and then pick it up in the shop. Some will even go in the back room and order it for you as a collect in store.

Not sure if Comet do this, but I would ask them to match their own web price, and question their never knowingly undersold policy if they don't agree. In the end, if they don't compete with their own website prices, they will eventually have to close the shops.
Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time?
