Personal injury settlement

Hi everyone,
I have settled my compensation claim as a out of court settlement and I was wondering if you have to tell Child tax credits of a change of circumstances, I don't work or get income support or any other benefit other than D.L.A. My partner works full time and we do a joint claim for the child tax credit.
Thanks

You need to inform the DLA team, unless your solicitor has already done so.Gone ... or have I?0

Thank you dmg24 for your quick reply,
My solicitor has already deducted the five years DLA I have to pay back, I was just wondering about the Child tax credits as I wasn't sure if the settlement could be classed as an "income"?0
