Is EGG a reliable organisation to do business with bearing in mind it is part of an American bank ? Any advice gratefully received.

Sorry OP, couldn't help it. Egg are owned by Citibank who have not had a great time over the last year, but what bank has ? They are one of the biggest banks in the US and are one of those too big to fail - the US Govt. have intervened to support them. All this is irrelevant however as they are covered by the UK FSCS for the first £50k, so they're as safe as anywhere else.0

What I meant was what are they like to deal with ?0

Customer service has always been very good in the several years I've been with them. Call centre in the UK, secure messaging service, and a very useful Money Manager feature allowing you to view your non-Egg accounts as well.0

Thank you Mr K - that's what I wanted to hear. By the way, why is it on Net forums the more posts you make the more "expert" you are ? In my experience in the Force, empty vessels make the most noise.0

Are we on some fonts and features exercise?
found egg thru this site and have been with them since. recently they delayed my money transfer by asking for silly confirmations (which actually they have to) but when i called and explained my situation they helped by doing a quick transfer - no extra cost.0 -
Egg retail deposit accounts and structured investments. Which is it being referred to in this thread?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
