Potential Scam by Recruitment Company?

Hi all,
I hope this is in the right place as I have never posted her before, but I couldn't find anything more suitable....... (I haven't named the company since I'm not sure they are actually scamming me yet)
I received an email today from a recruitment/training company that I registered with online last month, which 'confirmed my attendance at their workshop' on 5th September. I have never signed up to any workshop, having only registered my details and uploaded my CV. The workshop appears to cost £99 based on the company's website, and is non-transferable and non-refundable if booked at discounted/sale prices, which I assume is the case since they are advertising a special low price on the site. The company has none of my financial information as I have never provided it to them.
I replied to the 'booking confirmation' asking the company's customer services department to acknowledge their error in sending the email and confirm that they would not pursue any charge for this workshop. Is there anything else I should do at this stage?
As soon as I had done this I realised that I had a strange phone call last night: I had someone call me then immediately hang up before I answered. The missed call was timed at 17:39 on 02/09/09; the number was the customer services number of the recruitment company. The 'booking confirmation' was received at 17:44 on 02/09/09. I'm not sure who they spoke to but it definitely wasn't me!
What I'm concerned about is that this company try to charge me for this workshop I have never agreed to attend, based on a phone call I never received, due to the fact that their T&C prevent me from cancelling what I never agreed to in the first place. I assume that should they not agree to their error that I could ask my phone company to prove I never spoke to them, but apart from that I'm not sure what to do.
Any further advice would be appreciated..... (I'll update when any response from the company is received)

Ok everyone can ignore this, I received a very nice reply confirming the 'booking' was cancelled, and even praising me for my honesty in informing them!0
