Ok, then the answer to the original question is yes. Have you sourced someone who can match everything up without them looking like an add on? Sorry, trying to be MSE. Depending how much has to be unpicked and the little "caps" put on will affect the cost.
http://www.weddingplanner.co.uk/ has a relitively good list of dressmakers in your area. HTH xx

Thanks Linda, i'll have a look at that link now.

Hopefully nearer the time (once I lose the weight i need to lose), I might get away with the dress as it is or just with the spaghetti straps, but if not then I just wanted to keep my options open :)

    Both :rotfl:

It has a zip up the side & will lace up the back.

And it still won't hold you in place? My bangers are pretty big ;) and my dress was going nowhere. I'd never even thought about maybe needing straps

It will hold me in place, but I'm prone to accidents with my boobs when they aren't contained properly :rotfl:

Was wearing a long bandeau maxi dress once, caught my foot on the bottom of the dress at the front and the blinkin thing came down.....good job nobody was around cos they would have had an eyeful! :o

I had corset top to wear for a Christmas party once, I attatched the shoestring straps to it (which come with it). After a few drinks I sat down and the weight of my baps snapped one of the straps :o

It will most probably be fine, but just incase it's not I was wondering about adding something like the wider straps.

I've got till the 2nd October next year to worry about it anyway! :D
