Linda, just wanted to ask you a quick Q if you don't mind, what with you being a dressmaker!
I have a strapless dress and the more i think about it, the more i'm worried something is going to happen on the day with my big bazookas!
I was wondering if it would be possible to have some sort of straps put onto the dress?
Something like on this... http://www.bhs.co.uk/mall/productpage.cfm/bhsstore/651952/156986
If that would be possible I could wear a bra with straps then, so i'd feel more secure lol

Have some waist stays (internal belt) put inside. It ties at the waist and then the whole things stays exactly where it should be. It would be a shame to have strapps added if you especially wanted a strapless dress. Waist stays are very easy to add in.0

I could have the straps added though?
Don't want anything adding at the waist. I didn't specifically want a strapless dress......I just seen it, liked it, but liked the price better lol!Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
Shellsuit - I had a strapless dress and I have massive boobs!! About a week before the wedding I took it to an alterations place and got them to make a halterneck out of the chiffon wrap that came with the dress. I am so glad I did as it made me feel much more confident and comfortable on the day. They could have made it into normal straps too, but I preferred halterneck.0

You could have spagetti straps added and if you have them detatchable, there should be very little disruption regarding unpicking to the gown. :beer:0 -
I'm having a strapless dress and definately need support for my bosoms. I'm having a corset made from a local boutique (cost me about £100), which she'll customise afterwards so it's less 'bridal' for when I wear it again. Corset Boulevard on ebay do some fab steel-boned corsets for about £40-£50 which you could try. I bought one of those to wear in the run-up to the wedding and to various weddings I've been to this year and it's really comfortable - definately no popping out or slippage. Plus wearing a corset is the first time I've been able to wear a strapless dress - so it's been fab!0

Linda the dress comes with spaghetti straps but they won't be wide enough to wear a strapped bra with.
It is an option but i don't think i'd feel secure enough still

Ok, then the answer to the original question is yes. Have you sourced someone who can match everything up without them looking like an add on? Sorry, trying to be MSE. Depending how much has to be unpicked and the little "caps" put on will affect the cost.
http://www.weddingplanner.co.uk/ has a relitively good list of dressmakers in your area. HTH xx0
